Vermont Teddy Bear named a finalist in the 2014 Cause Marketing Halo Awards

Thursday, February 13th, 2014; Shelburne, VT – Vermont Teddy Bear is pleased to have been named one of four finalists in contention for a Cause Marketing Halo Award in the Social Media Category. The company’s partnership with Shriners Hospitals for Children® has earned both organizations recognition for the awareness and funds raised through the promotion of a giant Vermont Teddy Bear named Fezzy.

Fezzy, a specially designed Vermont Teddy Bear proudly wearing the iconic Shriner red fez, was officially introduced in November of 2013 as the first Love to the rescue® Ambassador. Fezzy’s mission is to raise awareness and support for the innovative care available at Shriners Hospitals for Children. The organization has been promoting their new Ambassador via various social medial channels such as Facebook and Twitter.

In addition, to help Fezzy raise money to support Shriners Hospitals for Children, Vermont Teddy Bear has made it possible for people to get their very own Fezzy. The 4-foot Bear costs just $99.99 and 20 percent of the proceeds benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children. The availability of this special Fezzy Bear has also been promoted by the Shriners Hospitals for Children via their social media channels, and can still be purchased by visiting www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org/Fezzy.

The awards recognize excellence in North American cause marketing campaigns. 2014 marks the 12th year that the Cause Marketing Forum will honor businesses and nonprofits with Halos for doing well by doing good.

A total of 18 category awards will be given out to programs judged the best cause marketing campaigns of 2013 at the 12th Annual Cause Marketing Forum Conference in Chicago on May 29, 2014.
